D3 was used as a previsualisation tool for video content. The value of this previsualisation became evident during production rehearsals, when a malfunction of the screen automation system led to lengthy delays in the stage build. D3 was used to present all show content to the client, including stage moves, allowing client sign-off despite the lack of a working stage. Video content was then arranged using d3’s feed system and written out as correctly formatted video files for the content playback system.
