At Barco headquarters in Kuurne a new demo suite has been
set up to showcase the latest digital lighting products by Barco
and High End Systems. d3 was used as both the video and audio
master playback server, whilst also generating the timecode from
which the show was controlled.

Perfectly compatible with all equipment presented including Barco 6mm,
FLX 24, FLX 60, DLM 1200 and HighEnd Systems' DL3, Showgun,
Showpix, AXON media server, and theWhole Hog Full Boar lighting

displays. The system is a permanent install.

Robbie Williams - X Factor15th October 2009

Using the three-dimensional manufacturing drawings of the X Factor set
design, d3 was used to create and visualize the Robbie Williams visuals
in real-time, with perfect sync to the beat of the music. With d3's
advanced projection system, content could be “virtually projected” onto
the complex three-dimensional design, made out of a number of
different types of LED screens.

By using d3 the design team could not only visualize the content for their
own purpose but also show the client in real-time exactly what it would
look like, weeks before the production rehearsals. Mistakes was thereby
be avoided and immediate changes were made in front of the client.

d3 was later used to output movies according to the show’s output
template which was specified by the technical management. These
movies were then played by a conventional media server.

Mujeres Asesinas 214th October 2009

Presented at Mexico City’s Televisa studios before the cream of Mexico
City’s celebrity culture, Mujeres Asesinas 2 used an unconventional
sculptural arrangement of MiStrip, Versatube and Martin LC LED to show
trailers for the upcoming series, showcase individual actors, and act as
a backdrop for some stunning all-singing, all-dancing musical numbers.

This was d3’s first project with our new South American partners
Darmah MediaGroup, who have now set up a d3 visualisation studio in
Mexico City.
